CREST offers insight into project based learnign at a highschool level and show ways to make models scalebale to go across all of Paradise Valley High Schools.

11/2- Sierra Verde Elementary (AM)

(CC) 2: Variety of STEAM offerings at different grade levels

Sierra Verde was nationally certified in STEM through AdvancedEd. They will showing how STEAM is implemented across multiple grade levels.

11/14- AMPED at Alhambra HS (AM) 

Algebra in manufacturing processes, entrepreneurship, and design.

21st Century Skills focus: Think critically and make informed decisions; Solve complex, multidisciplinary, open-ended problems; Exhibit creativity and entrepreneurial thinking; Communicate and collaborate effectively; Make innovative use of information; and Become a contributing global citizen with purpose.

11/15- Maricopa School Superintendent (PM) 

High Functioning Teams

(CC) 9: Inclusive and Sustainable Models for School Leadership

Participants will identify individual preferences and characteristics of high functioning teams to improve the effectiveness of the team. Emphasis on increasing their STEM leadership team’s ability to influence the effectiveness of other leaders and teams on their campus.

Tour of Center and CREATE, discuss the impact of professional development

TBD- Verrado High School  (AM)

(CC) 5: Connections with Business, Industry, and the World of Work

Verrado High School will be sharing their engineering course and how they are able to serve underrepresented students in STEM courses. The layout of this school is quite unique and offers so much inspiration!
